Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2

Native Matter Support over Thread: The Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 is one of the first sensors to support Matter, making it compatible with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. Note: The P2 currently does not support the Aqara Home app but will in future updates via a Matter-compatible Aqara border router. Powered by the Thread protocol, this sensor offers enhanced stability, low power usage, and minimal latency.

Precise Open/Closed Status Monitoring: With a high-precision Hall sensor, the P2 accurately detects the status of doors, windows, and drawers, sending instant alerts to your smartphone. This feature helps you stay aware of security updates whether you’re at home or away. Note: Automation features may vary by ecosystem.

Local Home Automations: Integrated into your smart ecosystem, the P2 enables automations like adjusting the thermostat or activating security cameras when a door or window is opened. These automations run locally, ensuring privacy and continuity even without internet access.

Voice Alerts and Status Notifications: Compatible with Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant, the P2 allows you to receive alerts about entry events or check whether a door is open, giving you hands-free home monitoring.

Matter Compatibility Requirements: A Matter Controller and Thread Border Router are required for integration. Currently supported hubs include Apple TV 4K (2nd and 3rd gen), HomePod, SmartThings Hub v3, Echo (4th gen), and Google Nest Hub Max, among others.

Easy Installation & Long Battery Life: Compact and easy to install with an adhesive back, the P2 operates on a powerful CR123A battery, providing long-lasting, reliable performance. Battery life may vary by router and Matter app, with optimal results using the future Aqara border router.
